The Centre of Excellence in State Studies
The Centre of Excellence in State Studies (CESS) was established to address the crucial topics around the concept of the state. State, as a buzz word and key term, is gradually gaining more importance and attention among academia. According to the national and international importance of the concept, the CESS was founded in Allameh Tabataba'i University, Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, to form a team of distinguished experts and researchers in the fields of political science, international relations, political thought, and global and regional politics, among others, to study and put forward practical solutions for improving the area of state studies.
One of the priorities in the approval and establishment of the Centres of Excellence in Iran is the level and academic background of its members. In other words, a Centre of Excellence is approved by the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) if at least the team proposing the establishment of the CoE is composed of top experts and nationally or internationally distinguished professors in the relevant fields.
Moreover, the Centres of Excellence have to be interdisciplinary in nature. Thus, the activities defined for and the members enlisted in these Centres are from different academic areas.
Below, the members of the CESS are listed in alphabetical order (family names). For more information about members from ATU, you can click on the name of each member to view the complete CV page.
